Calorie Counting (Count me in!)

Calorie counting is kind of a pain and requires constant computer use but it is highly effective if you ask me.  You first use the website tools to find out your ideal calorie intake for the day, then log every bite you eat to stay on target for the day.  

Holy Moly! I had no idea I ate so much, and wow do those little pieces of chocolate add up fast!!  The biggest struggle is to remember to log on and put in everything you eat! I even had to set my homepage to be this page so every time I log on to the internet I am forced to go to this page.  At the school where I teach they blocked the website which makes it hard to log my lunch (or the cupcake for a students' birthday).  I often stop logging foods for a few days (ok... weeks) but I almost always revert back to calorie counting.  

It's a pain but overall, I still eat what I want, but I just account for it.  And if I really want to, I can have that mac and cheese (and maybe a second helping) just nothing else for the day.  It takes time, but it works and overall makes you think closely about what you put in your body.  And for those days I am going to have that 100 calorie bite of chocolate it makes me savor every last calorie.  

Count me in for calorie counting!
